Hello,

Sorry if this is posted in a wrong category, but I'm new to this Forum and wanted to ask for your professional advice. I'm planning to buy my first SAAB, C900 Hatchback and I already have a listing that I'm very interested in.

Before I travel 300km one way I wanted to clarify on some of my doubts. I'll be of course calling the seller and asking the same questions, but I thought it's a good idea to seek advice on the forum as well.

Here's the link (it's on a Polish ebay-like site):

OK, so the seller is stating this is a 1992 C900 with 145HP. It has 'Turbo' badges on the front and side and on the back it says it's a 900 S 16 Valve. However, it doesn't have a Turbo gauge inside and under the hood there's a apparently an Intercooler installed. Description doesn't say anything about any engine tuning.

Can this be a LPT version that was tuned by adding an Intercooler? What do you think about that?

Thanks

Hello from what I've found there was no turbo gauge fitted to the LPT see thread below

Also a little light reading for you .

Hopefully that will give you some idear of the different models .
And good luck with your purchase .

Does indeed sound like an LPT which stock had no boost gauge or intercooler.
Adding an intercooler does not on it's own increase power. The boost pressure must also be increased to get more power out of an intercooler addition. This is basically what an Abbott T7 tune is.
