I have to replace my brake pads for a Saab 9000 CSE 2.3l turbo, Halfords have asked what type of brake calipers I have, can any one give me a clue where I can find the make
They're ATE and if Halfords couldn't tell you that from the year and model, I'd go somewhere else for the pads. I wouldn't buy Halfords own-brand pads, either. I believe they sell Ferodo so if you're getting them from Halfords, buy those. It's not worth skimping and you'd be amazed at the difference in performance that different pads or discs can make.
Bear in mind I recently bought a genuine set from a Saab dealer for around £35 inc. VAT.
Just Phoned Wimbledon Saab, they have the parts, did not ask what type of calipers I have and cost £40.81, so as you said, don't look at halfords, they don't know what they are talking about
