I dont recall what car you are driving, besides it being a 9-3. I would help out to give the following info.
-What is the base engine?
-Trionic version or My?
-Any other mods, besides the stage I
-automatic or manual

And the basics

-when was the car in for maintenance for the last time?
-what plugs are you using and how many km are they used?
-how many miles has your DI-casette rolled?
-does your boost gauge rattle or it just wont riese?
-base boost?

Vigge

it was last serviced end of January 2004

plugs are due to replaced next service ie 66K miles.

The DI cassette has done 53 1/2K miles.

No idea of the base boost sorry.

No the gauage it spins round ok just doesnt follow on

Thanks

If you can try a DI casette that is know to work. Borrow from a friend if possible.

Second choice is to get a TECH in your hand.
If this is possible, there a few things that you can check out

Had similar issues with my Aero

1) DI pack failed - but failure was misfire under high boost - you could feel it offbeat quite clearly - sounds different to your issue.

2) Leak in the small silicone hose going to the boost gauge. Mine had crumbled to the point where it only leaked a tiny amount - enough so the gauge only just went to the end of the yellow. It also messed the boost a little too (not much though)
Mine failed at the little T piece under the throttle body where its probably at its hottest.

As I am not entirely sure of Maptun, I can say, however, that stage one from Hirsch only goes about 1/3 into the red. That was at 13 psi or 0.9 bar. But yes, do check the other stuff that is already mentioned if it is not high enough.

Well as long as the acceleration is smooth it is probably that the baseboost is too low.

What you can try is to adjust the wastegateactuator a bit (around 2 complete turns inwards should be enough)
