It`s the Heater resistant regulator that has gone broken down. I don`t know what the translation exact is. I had the same problem a couple days ago.
Cost new 185,- euro second hand 40 euro. Is easy to fit yourself.

Yeah, I have exactly the same problem on my 1990 9000t aswell.
After a bit of research I found out that you can fix the fan control unit which is situated on the evaporator housing. Accoring to the article all you have to do is solder a new transistor into the unit. This is providin that you have ACCII, as ACCI is different.
There is an article on the Quasimotors site describing this process.
I havent done this yet myself as I am waiting for my new transistor to arrive from the USA, there didnt seem to any available here in NZ.
It would be interesting to here from anybody who has done this repair.
In the meantime I have to keep pulling the fuse whenever I want to turn off the fan.
