Hello! So I was having a tiny air loss on my front tyre. I took the car to a tyre shop and it was losing air between the rim ant tyre itself. They removed the tyre and the interior of the rim (where the tye fits) was black almost until the borders (forgot to take a picture). It was a layer less than 1 mm thick that was becoming broken apart and the air could find an escape in one place between that rim gap and the tyre. I remember many years ago I had to replace one rim for another 17'' original like the one in the photo, because it was broken during a crash. The only difference between this new and old wheels was this black layer inside. Why is this? I had completely forgot about this because it was so long ago, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has seen a rim with the black interior.
