Can anyone help.

My 9000 is generally very reliable but its just developed an 'all-or-nothing' starting problem.

If its stone cold its fine. Starts straight away and then runs for hours without a hiccup.

About once or twice a week I'll try to start it when warm, and although it cranks over fine it just won't go.

All power to the dash & fuel pump drops off.

I thought it might be a dodgy sensor but nothings flashing up on the MIL light.

Any ideas????

Cheers

Also check the vacuum hoses. This was the cause of exact same problems on my 900. I've just gone through and replaced several on my 9000 before they caused problems. Thing is the hoses harden with heat and many are attached to metal nozzles. This leads to small cracks forming that won’t bother a cold start but will cause a warm start problem.

What about the cold start enrichment device. I have seen this issue on VW's & BM's when the device gets stuck on when you do a warm start & floods the engine.

Don't know where it is but some of the tech dweebs on this site do - try disconnecting it as you will probably be able to live without it in our summer - just!
