Our 2002 9-3 SE Convertible Auto has a weird starting thing going on.

A few weeks ago it failed to start - all the ignition lights were on but not cranking over.

After leaving it for 10mins - it did start.

I thought this was the Neutral Safety Switch.

I removed and cleaned the safety switch - and posted on here my efforts. What a job!

Anyhow, I thought that had fixed it, but tonight, it did exactly the same thing.

After rowing the gear selector back and forwards, I hear a little click (with the ignition on) and then it started!

Could this be something else?

Does the auto box have a park solenoid which prevents starting?

Is this the crankshaft position sensor?

Can anyone please help.....!?

Jonathan.
