I borrowed my wife's auto 9000 2.3t today (while my Aero is off the road awaiting new fuel tank straps) and having driven it fairly hard for 20 miles on twisty roads keeping it mainly in 2nd I have pretty well cooked the transmission fluid - which was only replaced 2k miles ago. Earlier threads mention additional stand alone oil coolers for towing caravans etc. Does anyone know if this while help cure the problem? If so do I need a Saab specific part or will an aftermarket cooler work?

You must have been trying!

Do you know what type/spec of fliud is in it? Although Dexron 2 was specified when the cars were new, and Dexron 2 is still available, Dexron 3 has a higher temperature rating and is backward compatible. Sorry but I don't know much about available coolers.
