Reading through the SAAB manual it would appear that fuse number 5, is the fuse for the APC and water pump (V6)

I assume that if I remove this fuse it will disable the APC, would this therefore mean that my MBC fitted car will no longer have overboost protection ?

Am I correct to believe that this fuse only covers the water pump for the V6 engined car ?

Cheers

The 9000 V6's aren't turbocharged, so have no APC system, and as you say, fuse #5 was used for the water pump on them.

On turbo cars, the APC fuse is in the line to the APC solenoid- if you remove it then the APC solenoid no longer operates and you run at base boost only. If you've replaced the APC solenoid with an MBC then obviously removing the fuse will have no effect.

Overboost protection is not affected by removing it.
