I just purchased a 4 piston AP Racing Brake Kit from Abbottracing for my MY02 9-5 2.0lpt. I brought the brakes to the mechanic to get it fitted and he expressed concern that i am still using the stock rear discs / callipers etc. Do i need to change the rear discs / callipers / pads as well to nullify the imbalance? Really appreciate some advice here. Thanks!

In a word, no.

I have the same set up on my 9000, and it's fine (no problems on track days either
) Most of the braking is done by the front wheels anyway. You might want to consider fitting a higher performance pad with a slightly higher coefficient of friction to the rear, but it's not absolutely necessary
