Thinking of doing Snowdon Horseshoe over the weekend if anyone is interested. If you don't know what it is, you probably won't be....

Also intending to get a MTB ride in as well as I really want to do one of the well known Snowdonia trails.

Likely to do one on Sat, the other on Sunday, assuming the weather isn't horrendous.

Hope the weather's OK for it - the Horseshoe is a cracker if you've not done it before and have a head for heights. Wouldn't fancy Crib Goch in wind or rain through (coward that I am).

You might want to consider the Cwm Bochlwyd Horseshoe too - more scrambling, less tourists in silly shoes to hold you up and pretty much as good as the Snowdon Horseshoe. Start up the north ridge of Tryfan, down the south ridge, up Bristly Ridge onto Glyder Fach, round past Castell Y Gwynt and down the Gribin ridge.

Really must get back up them thar hills soon.

Can you make it that weekend, Julian?

I wouldn't do the Horseshoe is bad weather, but did it a couple of years ago and Crib Goch was awesome.
