I have recently retired my 7 year old "TT Go510" & bought a "TT XXL IQ Routes Edition" ...... The screen is a bit bigger & its less chunky at the back (Gonna getta vent mount for it)

Anyways I'd quite like to transfer my favourites over from old to new..... I tried a simple transference of the "mapsettings.cfg" file & the new unit would not boot ... So that's not the the way to do it :(

Anyone any ideas ?

not 100 % certain but pretty sure the only way is is to enter them one by one useing browse map feature
swaping mapsetting .cfg will never work on different maps
Have fun Don

i dont know the answer to this, but on your new one, could you add a favourite and then see what files have changed, if its a cfg file these are normally just editable from notepad on a pc, so could you try copying the data for a favourite on the old one into the new file etc rather than trying to replace the whole file? make sure you back up all files before overwriting them to put back if needs be?
