Just got the new poly bushes from Elk Parts. How difficult are they to fit. Do you really need to take the rear bar completely off, same for the front. Any hints

I haven't done the front, but the rear is really easy to do. You don't even need to jack the car up. Just undo the 2 10mm bolts each side and remove the U clamp, then take the old one off and put the new one on. They have splits in them so you can slip them over the bar.

just watch you do not snap the bolt off...
no wheatabix in the morning !!
soak the bolts in lots of plus gas and you should be ok
even if you do its about a half our job to drill the old bolt out

good luck

The rears are easy if the (hardened) bolts don't snap.

The fronts are easy too if you can jack both wheels and put on axle stands.

The bars do not need to be removed, but the rear 10mm bolt on the front bar is a little tight to get to.

Thanks all, Could not change them today. Got the wrong size! Require 19 mm. on my LPT 2.3 CSE. The rear seem OK to undue. Will let you know how I get on.
