Ola all!!
Two very quick questions........
1.) I think that it could be time for at least one new exhaust section for my Carly as a definite blow has appeared towards the front of the car.
In addition however there is another rattling sound coming from the viscinity of the turbo. I've been advised that this rattle is coming from the turbo, but I'm more inclined to think that it could be linked to perhaps most of the exhaust system being in a state of disrepair?
For the record, she still pushes around 1.0 - 1.2 bar of boost, doesn't burn any oil or loose any water, however recently she doesn't seem to hold boost quite as well at high revs, any comments chaps.
2.) When pulling away slowly in first or reversing slowly there is occassionaly a whining noise and vibration through the clutch pedal during the bite. I've been told that this is harmonic vibration and that it's not a problem.
Again for the record, the gearbox was replaced about 8 months ago with a 'proper' recon unit along with a Sacchs clutch and new master/slave cylinders. Under normal driving the clutch performs perfectly and at no point is there any slippage or other cause for concern, once again comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
