The A/C on my 9000s has semi stopped working. It is running but it is not as cold as it used to be.There doesn't appear to be any leaks in hoses ,is there any way to test the system myself for coolant levels or whatever it uses etc?

Looks like you need a charge of new AC gas! Get in touch with mobile refrigerent specialists (yellow pages)....they will sort you out, even SAAB use these people and charge the earth for it!

If you think there's a leak of gas they will refill it and add a fluorescent dye. Then when it leaks again they can find where the leak is. Hope it's just a refill needed or a seal. My wife's car (non-Saab) needed a new evaporator at £400 plus eight hours labour for a dash dismantle and rebuild - £1000 in all That was the same week my throttle failed and cost £625
- just as well we'd paid for the holiday in advance. Been on bread and water since

WHEELIE/.

Got lots of stuff done at local garage in Dover, incl air re-charge. My chap got in an aircon specialist ( booked in advance ) from London, who came down and did a leak/dye check and re-charge, total cost gbp.85.00. Didnt seem to bad, presume he does a few on his rounds ?
I could get you number if interested !!

Cheers, Andy

p.s. my symptoms were same as yours, and yes, it is running beautifully now..
