The centre section of exhaust that has a flexible section is knackered on my '97 Aero.

Is it worth getting a performance section, or just sticking with the standard item.

I won't be spending much money on a full sports system or anything like that.

The system on mine has the CAT as part of the downpipe (The CAT is right behind the sump) It's the section behind this that has the split.

The biggest benefit on turbo cars of a single performance exhaust section replacement is the downpipe- so no, it's not worth changing the section behind that on it's own.
