The best thing to look for is that the fifth digit of the VIN should be "G" or "H", denoting an Aero with one or two airbags respectively. The eighth digit on a manual Aero will be "R", denoting the 225hp engine (auto Aero engine is the same 200hp variant fitted to other 2.3 full-turbo autos). It will also have the body kit, regardless of the type of transmission. If the plastic sill covers below the doors are the same colour as the rest of the car, it's an Anniversary or an Aero.

The seats are hard to describe, but are peculiar to the Aero.

Hi Bill
Is that fith digit G or H only on later aeros? My 1993 has a D at this position, and comes up as aero in the vin checker on your site as well as with a history-checking company. The eighth digit is an R though.
