are you sure its the throttle housing at fault? there are so many factors involved with tcs, and it will need recalibrating after repairs in my experence tcs can cost quite a lot,if your are unlucky, find a good specialist and get a reliable diagnosis and an estimate for repairs so you can decide if you want to spend the money.if you don't the repairs may seriously effect your bank ballance.

A word of warning. If you just change the throttle body yourself, and then plug it in it will destroy the unit. The unit must be attached to ISAT or Tech 11 BEFORE plugging in and turning the vehicle on. This makes it a dealer only job. To be honest, the actual physical changing of the unit should take 15 mins max, so it seems that you need to find a dealer who's willing to fit parts supplied by you.
I did read somewhere recently that the cost of throttle bodies in USA is very much cheaper then UK. I seem to remember a figure of $350 being quoted. I thought I read it on 'alt.autos.saab' newsgroup, but a quick search has failed to reveal the relevant message.
The man to talk to really, is David Prantl. He regularly appears on the above newsgroup and is a fount of knowledge on TCS. If you find out the price of the part in USA, report back to the group, as it may of use to the rest of us?
A tip if you decide to import. Get it sent DHL, not ordinary mail. The tax advantage is significant!!!
Hope that's of use.
Pete.
