Hello to you all. Fairly new to this site, hope you maybe able to help.

Thinking of ECU upgrade to my SAAB 93 Con. 2001. LPT 150bhp.

Already fitted Abbout Racing - s/rack brace, s/steel twin ext/pipe APT air filter fitted with 17" Viggins. Looks good in silver with blue hood. I just love this car!

Now for more bhp
- advise on whats best. What have you fitted? Is it worth £500 + ?

Visited http://www.superchips.co.uk/car/frameset.htm Are they any good?

Thanks for any useful comments or advise in advance.

In my experience try Saab themselves, Maptun or Speedparts. The trionic system requires quite specialist knowledge.

As far as is it worth it - that's a resounding YES!. I have a 9000 2.3 LPT and now have a stage 2 speedparts upgrade. This takes it from around 170 to 250 BHP which is well worth the money.

Always a good idea to look at your ability to stop and go round corners when you increase the power substantially.

If you have a check back on previous posts for ECU upgrade there's loads of useful comments.

An ECU upgrade is the best way to get more power from your Saab in a safe way. It's expensive, but it'll give a big performance increase. Well worth the money.

The Trionic software is fairly complex, but tuning companies focussed on Saab have good upgrades. Lots of people on this board have good experiences with Hirsch, Maptun, Speedparts, etc.
I've got no experience with Superchips, so I won't comment on their products.

As already mentioned loads of info. re ECU upgrades. I upgraded my LPT after visiting Abbott for VRK. Gave me a good deal on the ECU upgrade. Happy with the performance.

Before doing the above the first thing I did was upgrade my pads and discs.
