Hello all. Following BillJ's excellent writeup of adjusting the air gap on the A/C clutch plate, I do have one question. I have the 5mm screw off. How hard should it be to remove the clutch plate from there? I don't want to pry too hard and damage something.

OK. Nevermind. I found that it needed even pressure, top and bottom. Prying with a thin screwdriver from the top, and using the other have to coax from the bottom seems to have done the trick.

Got the plate off, now to get one of those itty-bitty shims out...

Not a bad thought, but I didn't have to resort to such strong tactics...

Some gentle persuading with a long screwdriver did the trick. Either that, or bending the cr*p out of it.

Got everything re-assembled, and a quick test was successful. The compressor turned on and turned off via the ACC. Need some more time to take a test drive to make sure it doesn't cut out again when it gets hot.
