I have a question about a problem my dad has just had with his 9-5. I know there is the 9-5 forum, but you guys seem to have a broad knowledge for most Saab problems.

My dad has just had to have the rear shock absorbers replaced (a big ouch to the wallet from the local Saab dealer) . The car is just over 3 years old and only has 38K on the clock. In both the 9000s he had previously he doesn't remember ever having to replace the rear shocks, and the second 9000 now has about 150K on the clock. Does anyone know if there is a major difference in the rear shock absorbers between the 9-5 and 9000 and whether they are know to have problems at (for a Saab) low milage .
