i'm hoping to buy a late 1998 9k cse t16 and fit a maptun stage 1 ecu

i've seen on another board a 9k with 17inch 9-5 rims on it. but all the pictures i've seen the 9k has 4 stud wheels and the 9-5 5 stud rims. whats the best thing to do?

As you rightly say the 9k has 4 studs and the 9-5 has 5, unfortunatly if you want to fit 17" wheels you will have to go for after market 4 stud wheels.

As it happens my 17" wheels are being fitted tomorrow my advise would be to go to a good specialist dealing in alloy wheels and speak to the head man, I managed to find one in my area who took time out to take the wheels off my car and pointed out the problems that can happen by choosing the wrong wheels i.e rubbing at the back having to fit spacers buying longer studs etc.

After all that I decided to go for a direct fitment which meant I could still go for the wheel and tyre size I wanted...7/17 with 225/45/17 tyres.
