Hi, all, got a wee prob on me 9KSE...J reg
Start up in morning, all ok, brakes ok, ABS lights go out, etc....after driving 4 a while, using the brakes, the Anti-lock light comes on with Brake warning light as the brakes are used and go off on release, trouble is that after a while both lights stay on and i lose power assist....very stiff pedal!!
Leave the car 4 a while, come back, start the car and all is ok again, could this be 1 of the relays in the ABS box of tricks under the bonnet or something else......any 1 got any ideas please???

I had the same symptoms on my 92 2.3se last year,turned out that I needed a whole new unit,about £1400 from SAAb,I managed to have a second-hand one , fitted,for about £400.

Could be the accumulator. This is fairly common. Try pumping the brakes on and off for about 4 seconds whilst parked. If the accumulator is not holding pressure the warning lights will come on.
