Finally my original 1998 cd changer has died! 22 years isn't bad I suppose.
I'd like to use existing cable and not update to fibre and finding a new 1998/99 new old stock on ebay may take way too long.
Does anyone know if theres any chance finding a new changer from another maker that I can fit a cable converter to or do I need to completely scrap the head unit and change the lot?
Thanks

Mine broke a few years ago ('97 900), jammed up, but I managed to repair it. Even then I could not find any viable replacement.
Have largely stopped using it. Instead ripped all my CDs to MP3 and bought one of those little devices that play MP3's either from a USB key (or over bluetooth from a phone etc.) and do a local FM transmit to a radio frequency. Works well enough.
