Hello all, a couple of days ago my stoplight failure warning came up so I changed the bulb but no joy so I cleaned the terminals and still no joy, now I have noticed that the tail light is out and the indicator light is also not working, do I have to change the whole light unit or could it be a problem elsewhere, I've checked fuses and they are OK, the whole assembly ain't cheap so I need a bit of advice on this.
Thanks
Eddie

Eddie,

If all the lights in the cluster are not working then this points to an earthing problem. Check if you get some strange things happening at the front since the circuits sometimes 'earth' themselves via other items on the same one, so you might get the opposite sidelight flickering when you try one of the indicators. Not an uncommon fault.

The units are not too difficult to take out so you can check for breaks in the circuits.

Paul @ Kippen.
