I am interested in purchasing a 91 9000 2.3T with 133k miles in MINT condition. 2nd owner (80 year old gentleman) with a partial history (3 to 4 receipts from same specialist). He was asking $5000 US while The Kelly Bluebook is $4100 in excellent condition. My question is offering him $4400 sane? It runs like a cheetah, extremely fast. Garage kept, and meticulously maintained. What do you guys/gals think?

Is the KBB price "Private Seller"? If so, negotiate it.

Yes that is Private Seller price. I'm just wondering what would be a good deal. I have heard from 2 sources that the 91 is THE year to buy for the 9000T and only 1500 or so cars were imported into the states here.

I just turned my '92 Griffin over 131k and the mileage is about right. Just be aware that in addition to the price of the car you need to realize that this is the mileage area where you will be needing to replace some parts. If the car is as good as you say then $4400 is a fair offer.
