Hi, I have a chipped (with a small hole) headling lens. I sealed the hole with silicone adhesive (like for aquariums) to keep the water out. I am considering changing the lens but want to know which would be easier to change, just the lens insert or the entire headlight assembly. Both are available through mail order and the difference in cost is not too prohibitive.

Anyone with experience making the change? Which is easier?

Thanks,

Bill

Welcome to Saabscene Bill.

Agreed the lens is very easy to change, just pop off the retaining clips all around (there are quite a few) and off comes the lens. However if you wish to improve the light output, renewing the reflector is usually the best way forward.

Nick.

PS. As you have to unbolt the headlight unit from the car to change the glass lens, the difficulty level for either option isn't much different.
