Hi,
I have a 1994 CDE auto and just recently when i go to start the car the starter motor doesnt engage, just heat a clicking noise. Could this be either the solonoid or something in the auto box?

Any ideas what this could be?

I had a similar problem a few years back our ex9000, although ours was a manual, and my initial thoughts were the same as yours are now. It turned out that the battery was beginning to become on its last legs. Worth checking this out first.

thats interesting.

I was listening to that American radio show today called "Car Talk" and someone phoned in with a similar problem and they thought it might be the starter motor, or the contacts around it.

Prefer it to be the battery though,
