Mine is a Dec 93 2 litre LPT and I am still having reverse selection problems. What is the way to go?

I am torn between a used gearbox ( yes -I know!) and having the existing one removed and the fault identified. What bothers me is the unknown and probably huge bill to have the remedial work done. I reckon for the box out, fixed, new clutch and slave cylinder and all put back together, what? £600-£700 who knows?

What model year boxes will fit and does it have to come off a turbo for the correct final drive ratio? Mine is the non intercooler one that came out of the factory although it has had one retro fitted. What diameter clutch should there be fitted? Is there a good quality non genuine clutch that you guys can recommend? Questions, questions........
