It's coming in via personal import.

I've read that the dutch importer for Saab is bringing one in personally for himself... I'm sure others will follow.

That probably means you won't get it.

The 9-7x is built on the GMC Envoy platform. I'm not sure if you guys are getting the Isuzu Ascender or even if Opel has a clone of the Envoy, but this SUV is simply too big for Euroipean roads.

You could say that about the Range Rover (still the best 4x4xfar ) and the full-size Toyota Land Cruiser but they still sell like hot cakes. I even saw a stretched Hummer dropping people off at the races in York the other day

We have one in Het Motohuis Haesgstad in the Hague.....

Had a look while I was discussing recall stuff on my 9-3 (RHD UK spec car bought in Germany and on Dutch plates causes a lot of confusion)

Externally, it's a tidy looking motor

inside - I was startled to see how little space there is inside - could they fit four average sized americans in there?

Fit and finish? For the 9-3 bashers you would have a lot of fun, lots of exposed wires and tubes. Plus the additional fog lamp beneath the rear bumper looks naff...

Lastly - sticker price 68000 euro - same as the fully loaded 9-5 Aero estate sitting next to it. 10000 more than the 9-3 SportCombi Aero - and they are expensive at that price

Next to the monstosities that are the BLS I would prefer the 9-7x

I saw one on the move in Augusta, Maine last week... it actually didn't look too bad thinking about it (or maybe thats just the jetlag speaking). My wife suggested taking one out for a test drive from the local Saab dealer but we didn't get round to it.

As a first post to SAABScene, though a long time SAAB owner, I thought I would start with something non-controversial.

Driving past Bauer Millett in Manchester the other day, my wife asked me what a 9-7 was, as there was one outside. Once I had stopped at the traffic lights and could look, all I could see was some very large yellow text stuck on the side of the vehicle, most of which was behind some other vehicle.

Bauer Millett specialise in importing vehicles from the USA, see SAAB 9-7X Crossover £29,995.

Why the hell would anybody want one anyway ?

It looks plain ugly, seems to have all the worst that the "american" car industry has brought to the automotive world

Doubltless some doughnut footballer will buy one for the "bling" factor and the Saab brand will be Sc*wed for good.

Thanks GM

Thanks for nothing.

And topgear said all the C*cks where driving Audi's these days, I can see that changing if these things ever hit the UK market
