Hello everybody

What are your experiences with different stages?
Starting from 90 km/h 1 person in car and stopwatch.

Thanks for the videos but i have already downloaded all videos from Nordic. More interesting is for me the real acceleration times of different people in order to compare them with my car. 9-5 would be preferred and if it's possible in 3rd gear to see the top end power of tuners. This weekend i also installed the Hirsch sport exhaust in order to complete my stage 3 from Maptun. First impressions: I am impressed! It looks and sounds much better than the stock one. Turbo spools up also quicker 60-100 4th 5.3 now, 5.7 before and there is more torque all the way. It is a very nice improvement i have to say.

I can look up the times for my viggen, if you are interested?
Who was the guy xxautomax something, who did a comparison chart a while back. Use search, mayby you will find it.

Regarding the 9-5 clip:-
Impressive, but it's interesting to see the TCS/ESP light illuminated...
Have they manually switched it off, in which case why do that for a straightline rolling start acceleration test...

Or has the ECU upgrade thrown the TCS/ESP light as has been known to happen with another Saab specialist tuner's software....

Quick though isn't it.....

That means you have about 300ps on the car. Do you have the hardware configuration of aero on your LPT then?

Hi - 95 Aero

Is your car the 230 or 250 as standard.

I am looking at getting the stage 3 Maptun early in the new year. How would you sum up the additional power?

Why did you not get the JT exhaust as part of the Stage 3 upgrade?

Are you at 280bhp?

regards

Hello mushdaffer

I didn't get the 3" Sport exhaust from Maptun because i wanted one with TÜV approval. My car is a '00 aero stock 230ps. The difference is worth the money definitive. Before stage 3 i had stage 1 and that was already a good upgrade but you know how it is! Now i am happy with the results
and i am planning for the summer a biger intercooler, which is essential for these power levels in order to keep the things a little bit cooler.

In that case I would have thought turning it off would be the last thing you'd want to do when trying to put over 300hp onto the road....

I have the Aero turbo and injectors. I also have Ferrita stainless exhaust with racecatalyst and a larger stainless intake pipe for the turbo.
We have other tuned 9-5's in our Swedish SAAB-club that is supposed to have way over 300 bhp that doesen't reach my time. Even though they have changed more hardware and got the ECU upgrade from more (in this forum) well known tuners.

Well that was bloody quick ecceleration, I took a Porsche Carrera 4s for a spin just before Xmas and the rate of speed increase was no where near like that!!!! And I really did give it some left foot

Cheers Jim.

Impressive take-off, with a serious looking FSD boost !!!!!!!!
How does the viggen match up against the 9-5 aero ?
Anyone tried them out in standard spec or mod spec ?

Hi!

The speed signal is from the CAN-buss.
I use a tool for reading the CAN traffic.
Also the speed is adjusted with a GPS.
I think this will give really good precision.

Fredrik

Do you mean that the values read from OBD interface or have you a built a module to conect strait to CAN-buss? If so can you tell us little more about this CAN traffic tool.
