This afternoon, the car told me the the battery had stopped charging. Only two miles from home I kept going.

By the time I got home it told me that the traction control had failed and the anti-lock brakes had failed.

Then the power steering packed up - for real - it didn't tell me about that!

Anyone had this happen?

Thanks

thanks everyone - I hope my warranty will cover it.

When the egr valve went it paid for that but not for the particulate filter which also failed as a result of the egr failing - cost me £1300!

well i hope they cover it for you mate, they sure should do. Im hoping to get mine paid for still, i have appealed it, they were originally telling me that it was a longstanding problem with the car, even though the first i knew of it was when i had the warning message and then an hour or so later all systems failed.

good luck Rufus

I shall keep my fingers crossed

I also think I might get rid of the Saab and go back to VW/Audi. I have had more trouble since I bought this car at Christmas than I have had in the last ten years!
