Amplifiers and speakers, 4D

The main entertainment unit has an integrated amplifier that drives the speakers of the Premium 70 sound system. The Premium 70 sound system has two speakers on the outer edges of the dashboard, 3.5” and two on the outer edges of the parcel shelf, 4”.

The Premium 150 sound system has two additional speakers in the front doors, 6.5” and a centre speaker in the dashboard, 4”. There is also another amplifier mounted under the left-hand seat.

With the Prestige 300 sound system, there are four additional speakers located on the parcel shelf, two tweeters and two bass 6”x9”, and two more tweeters on the dashboard. To drive the two bass speakers, an amplifier is fitted in the boot on the left-hand side.

All speaker cables are twisted pairs. This makes them less sensitive to the induction of disturbances from other wires.

The central entertainment unit has an integrated amplifier that drives the speakers of the Premium 70 sound system. The Premium 70 sound system has two speakers on the outer edges of the dashboard, 3.5” and two on the outer edges of the luggage compartment, 4”.

The Premium 150 sound system has two additional speakers in the front doors, 6.5” and a centre speaker in the dashboard, 4”. There is also another amplifier mounted under the left-hand seat.

For the Prestige 300 sound system, there are an additional two tweeters in the luggage compartment and one bass speaker under the luggage compartment floor. There are another two tweeters in the instrument panel. An amplifier is mounted on the right-hand side of the luggage compartment to drive the bass speaker.

All speaker cables are twisted pairs. This makes them less sensitive to the induction of disturbances from other wires.

An amplifier for the speakers in the Premium 70 audio system is integrated into the EHU. The Premium 70 audio system includes two speakers on the outer edges of the dashboard 3.5” and speakers in the right-hand and left-hand rear side trim 4”.

The Premium 150 audio system includes speakers in the doors 6.5” and a centre dashboard speaker 4”. An amplifier for these speakers is fitted under the left-hand section of the rear seat.

The Prestige 300 audio system includes two tweeters in the rear side trim and two woofers behind the back seat backrest 6”x9”. Two additional tweeters are located in the dashboard. An amplifier for the woofers is fitted on the left-hand side of the luggage compartment.

All speaker cables are twisted pairs. This makes them less sensitive to the induction of disturbances from other wires.

If replacing the stereo, the ICM MUST stay connected, but the front easily comes off, so it can be hidden behind the dash.

The EHU is located above the CD player behind the heater controls.

The EHU uses a standard Fakra Quadlock. If you want to remove this, you will lose all the car sound indicators, seatbelt warnings, and parking sensors.

You will need a fake quadlock to iso for power and speaker connection and a phony to iso/din for FM/am aerial

But if you use a parrot adaptor, you can fit an aftermarket stereo but keep the sounds by using a centre speaker. You must move the optical cables from the loom to the adapter. Also, if the CD player or amp is removed, you will need to bypass it using an optical loopback.

i was pulling my hair out for a few nights till i worked it all out ! glad it got done and its out the way n saved me a few hundred aswell

i know a guy who just crushed a damaged saab he bought for parts from an auction with the icm3 sat nav package he didnt know what it was worth lol he was kicking him self when i told him and me to as id of blagged it cheap n made a bit too haha
