87* 9000turbo

hi
i was wondering how hard it is to add an intercooler to a 87 9000 turbo, also how hard is it to attach a manual boost gauge, can it be a d.i.y job?

There should be a fairly sizeable intercooler in your 9000 (in front of the radiator) already. Or did you mean you want to add a second IC?

The 9000 turbo will have the Saab gauge in the dash, to add a calibrated gauge is a fairly simple job of teeing a length of vacuum hose into the existing feed behind the dash and then mounting a standard 52mm boost gauge. The are a lot of places to mount one and a search of this forum should bring up a few suggestions and solutions .

I found repco has a cheap but accurate boost guage up to 20 PSI. .. found that autometer are too expensive for my tastes
