2007 1.9tid Sportwagon boot suddenly won't open

Hello,
Like it say above, all was fine at the weekend, but as of last night the boot won't open. Typically, I'm due to load up the car with telescopes and camping gear tonight ready for a long weekend away at a star party!
Any thoughts/tests/advice/fixes/bodges to get me through the weekend?
Cheers,
Kev

Update: Gained access to the boot via the back seats, and checked out fuse 21 in the rear panel (control module in rear doors), but it's fine (which I knew anyway as it's the same fuse for the parking assist). As far as I can tell there's no manual/emergency rear door release on sportwagons/combis, and it's not reacting to the buttons on the fob.
In desperate need of help here ...

Hi Kev, I have a similar problem with my 2007 9 5 sport combi . Now and then the tailgate door refuses to open using key fob or drivers door side switch.
I have found that starting the car sometimes fixes it. Battery tests good, so it is still a mystery. Only other thing I have found is to keep latch clean and free of debris.
Hiya. Ended up taking the car to a specialist who managed to open the boot and replaced the lock mechanism. All sorted now. Seems like it was the motor/solenoid, though it could have been anything in the lock mechanism as he had to mangle it to open the boot. As I said, all sorted now 👍
Thanks for the reply. I will keep the solenoid/motor fault in mind.
