Hi. My 2006 face lift 9-5 wont let me switch off the glass break sensor when the key is removed from the ignition and the CLR button pressed on the steering wheel. The CLR button is working so clueless as to why this wont work... any ideas?

If I remember correctly, the glass break and tilt sensor are isolated by pressing the night panel button :)[/b]
That is certainly the case for earlier models but I believe that Dame Ednas use the CLEAR button instead. With the key out of the ignition, press and hold until "DOOR ALARM ONLY" is shown on the SID display.

Are you sure it actually is activated? I was under the impression that it can be de-activated under Tech II. (Previous owner maybe?)[/b]
Interesting thought. It would seem that some models come without glass break or tilt sensors, and these can be added afterwards. When they are added, Tech 2 is used to enable them in TWICE.

It therefore seems logical to deduce that they can be disabled.

Just checked mine - 2007 Dame Edna.

Pressing "CLR" after ignition is turned off and key removed shows "Door Alarm Only" almost instantly. Beep follows in a coupe of seconds if the button is held.

But in my handbook the instructions for the Glass Beak and the Tilt Sensor have a "star" against them, which, as Mark says, show they are options and not fitted to all models or in all markets.

Under the speedometer in the main instrument unit. Model is slighly complicated as its ex police so its Aero running gear but in a Linear! Does not have heated seats, cruise control and the SID only tells me the outside temperature.
