How can I find out if my 9000 has a single speed cooling fan or a 2 speed that isn't working on the slower speed?. As I have mentioned in the past, the high speed fan seems to cut in fairly readily in all conditions and my Haynes manual appears to say that the fan should be running on low speed when air-con. is on, it doesn't

Check thermo-switch on side of radiator.two wires single speed, three equals two speed,if it is two speed look under radiator, there is a junction box that has the habit of corroding, pull apart and treat with WD40
I don't know which car you have, the early ones had a resistor mounted on the fan shroud, these can burn out,if it is kaput do not approach a main dealer, particularly if you have a bad heart, try your local computor builder.
Somewhere I have a note as to the resistor value,if you need it shout up
