I've got my 9000 2.3T able to hold 15-17 PSI (w/ Upgraded fuel chip and 100 octane to be safe) until about 4500 where it drops back to 14-12. The thing pulls like its going out of style between 3000 and 4500, and I'm wondering if theres anything I can do about the boost drop or is it simply the turbo being too small I've heard from some that it's possible to hold 22 PSI to 6000 rpm with the right controller on the stock turbo. Did they step in some BS?

Yes, it does sound a bit exagerated, even for a TD04HL-15T. I don't have a compressor map handy but I was under the impression that its' puff is pretty well chuffed at around 1.3 bar and those rpms. Might be a different story with the 18 or 19T.
