So typically I have fixed my own car issues by either looking them up or asking someone. This time I am stuck. I went to go put the top down on the way home from work today and it told me to remove the cargo carrier, but I have nothing attached to the car, and the truck is empty. Any advice?

If you search for "roof" in this 9-3 section you should get a few pointers as to the problem as it will probably be a fault with
a proximity sensor.
There are a number of stress points on the roof mechanism brackets that can lead to broken wires -these can be investigated
by stopping the roof at varying positions.

It doesnt take much to trigger the sensor that says the boot/trunk has an obstruction, have a really good look round in there.

You can probably part lower the roof manually, at least get the tin lid in the air so you can look into the cavity where the roof folds in to see if perhaps anything is looking wrong
