Gents, I've just bought some Powerflex bushes to replace the rear bushes on the front wishbones on my 2001 9-5. They came from an online retailer and I selected the 62dia ones as the rear of my bush housing is about 60mmID. Now I've got them I cannot see how they will fit as they are stepped...

Saab 9000 CSE LPT MY 97 Hi, folks. Reading threads about bushes ( no pun intended ! )....I understand that these "soft" screws.....item 20 on the steering parts diagram CAC94 F7580 should be replaced when replacing the front wishbone mounts. The Saab replacements have no thread......instead...

What's the general consensus on effect of replacing the front wishbone bushes with poly? Worth it or not? I'm getting a clonk and sometimes a crack when driving over speed humps (PITA that they are). I had a quick look the other day, nothing seems obviously loose, no play in the ball joint or...

Hi folks, My "new" CSE failed its MoT on (amongst other things) corroded front aluminium spacers for the front wishbones. The rear ones were OK, but as I have four new ones in stock I thought I'd change them all. There isn't much left of the nuts that hold them to the subframe for a socket to...

Well, having nothing better to do this week I decided to replace the clutch and slave cylinder on my Aero. Thought I may as well do it as the head was comining off agian for a snapped exhaust stud. I've noticed that all the exhaust studs that I've seen snap do so just below the head face. This...

I finally got around to doing this job. I thought my front brakes pads were shot (actually they aren't - it must have been something in them, or perhaps the rusted edge of the disc catching the heat shield or caliper). Replacements were Powerflex bushes, and the job was OK. One small accident...

Hi, I had my gearbox replaced on a 1995 9000 aero and over christmas i started to to get a clunking sound on slow down and acceleration - I had a quick look and it seems one of the two bolts that hold the bush to the car won't tighten up fully - it looks like the captivated nut has either...

I've got some poly ones to go on here, but I was just wondering, is it possible to do this without a ramp or a pit? Because surely you have to tighten everything up at the end with the weight of the car on it. Can you do this at full lock maybe?

After a year, i've finally got round to fitting mine with the bushes that I prepped with poly that long ago. I now have a couple of old bushes if anyone wants them to fit poly bushes at leisure. There's nothing wrong with them either, just got swapped out that's all. David.

I am refering to the 'bearing support end piece' that fits onto the front bush of the front suspension wishbone.Pn. 4426003. I found that a couple of them are broken on my car. They appear to be aluminium castings ( two per side ). It looks as though someone ( an MOT tester??) has levered...

I finaly have the Superflex wishbone bushes fitted into the butterflies. I have had them lying around so long I have forgotten, should there be some of the small metal tubes to go through the centre of the red bushes? Also, how long do you all estimate to fit them? Thanks Skiddins
