hi all, went to tesco the other week and noticed a fuel called momentum 99 ron put £30 in my tank 9-5 aero stage 1 hirsch 280 bhp, some say supermarket fuel is crap never had a problem with this.i done some research about momentum ron 99 same as v power and cheaper, has any one used it.
I used to use Shell Optimax in the Turbo X and have recently switched to Tesco 99 because it's cheaper but also because it's 99RON as opposed to 98.
I have just heard that Tesco fuel is not the best hence why it's cheap, but what do people think?
Okay, I know this might all sound a bit...

In Tesco the other day and noticed 5W 40 Fully Synth Oil, which complied to all the standards in the 2.2TID manual.
The Tesco oil was half the price of the Fuchs stuff I bought last week!!
Tesco 2lts = £12.00, 4lts = £20.00
Fuchs 1lts = £12.80
Question is.....for 'topping up' would the...
Went into our local Tesco Extra and saw "new" Tesco own brand fully synth - 5w-40, £7.50 for 2 litres. They do a semi synth as well for a bit less.
I'm not sure I would risk it in an engine under warranty (but no reason why it should be any worse than anything else) but it might be of interest...
Went to the Tesco at Perivale (A40 - old Hoover building) this evening for some Tesco 99 and all the pumps now have one diesel and two 95 octane hoses
Signing looked permanent - so not just a temporary shortage? Tesco having a rethink?
As of yet i've only run normal unleaded in my Aero for the week i've had it, and it appears to work well. However I am aware Saab recommend 98 ron so to test the difference in power on everyday roads I was thinking of running to low and then filling up with some Tesco 99 ron fuel...

"The reason we can do it (expand biofuels) is partly...
I've filled up with a couple of tankfuls of Tesco 99 since I came back from France (98 octane) and my Aero seems to like it! Seems smoother than with the Sainsbury 97. Maybe a false impression, but Tesco is nearer than Sainsbury and there's only 1 p a litre in it.
Just thought I'd let people know about a couple of "problems" with the replacement car that Tesco gives you when your car is off the road (Adds approx £13 to the premium).
1) You get the car for 14 days only - it does not matter how long your car is off the road for. So if it takes them 2 weeks...
