  1. Help, Advice, Saabs and Motoring
Hi All, I have had y 2005 9-5 Aero Auto Estate for approx 6 months and love it to bits apart from the fuel economy. I bought it knowing about the running costs but I am now doing more miles for work and need something more economic to run. I keep coming back to a 9-3 TTiD Aero Auto, something...

I have checked the solenoid and it is working fine. When I connect it directly to the battery it activates. I have also checked the buttons mechanics and it is good. When I put a multimeter to the 2 contact points of the trunk opening button it registers 0.3V until it is pressed when the...

  5. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi! Since a while back the fuel door doesn't open when I push the button on the door. I have been opening it with the litte orange emergency pulling device in the trunk, but I don't want to do that for ever. The central locking system works fine. What could be the problem and how do I go about...
  6. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Hi, this is my first post having just bought my first Saab two days ago. The car is a 9-3 Sportswagon, '07 plate and it's great! The car has satnav etc. & the steering wheel controls for the phone and voice command. My iPhone will connect over bluetooth and I can sometimes use the display...

Anybody know how to stop my AS2 from showing the RDS ident of a radio station that doesn't exist? I visited Kingston a while back, and apparently there was some kind of temporary council-run festival radio station operating there - on the same frequency as my FM MP3 modulator. The radio then...
  8. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi, silly but annoying problem. I've got a w reg (2000) Aero estate (the one I'm breaking) - and the radio in that shows the station (Radio 1, BBC2 etc etc). I also have an x reg (2001) saloon - but the radio in that only displays the frequency (89.90, 98.10 etc etc) is there some simple way...
  9. Saab News
A Saab Enthusiast is starting a Saab Radio station in California in April 2008! Here is his writeup in Nines Magazine that he wrote that I have republished with his permission: This will be a great addition to the Saab community! Just think, we could have our Saab Owners Convention broadcast...
  10. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Had a look at it in Aero form in Glasgow today, the version which Saab really seem to be pushing. Nice looking car and to all intents exactly the same (well it would be!!) as the standard SS inside. I must say though I thought the boot is tiny. Maybe it's just me but on first impressions if I...
  11. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Just received an invite from my local SAAB dealer here in Aberdeen, inviting me along to see the new 9-3SS Station Wagon. Apparently only 2 have been fully prepared, and they will have one of them for a day - Monday 11th April. Seems a bit early to me, as the official launch isn't till...
  12. Saab Recommendations
I'd like to put a good word in for Neil of Station Garage in Liphook, Hants. Whilst these guys are not Saab specialists they did a great job with the engine transplant on my 900. It wasn't their fault when it subsequently failed (see other threads) but they couldn't have be more helpfull. The...

Filling up the wife's car at Sainsbury's filling station (wouldn't put that stuff in the Saab ). Two old 'crates' nose to nose nearby - didn't take much notice.......then Voice over the intercom "Get those cars of the forecourt now !!!!!!" Two pikeys with jump leads trying to jump...

The signs in petrol stations tell us to turn off our mobile phones since they pose a risk. So, what then should we make of the fact that Shell are placing mobile phone antennas within their signage? full story. Does this not pose the same, if not increased, risk?
