Two days after I bought my 95 the EML came on so I had a look here and as the EGR valve is so easy to clean I just took a punt at it and WOW it's fixed. I wanted to service the car so I ordered a load of filters etc from Euro car parts. The air filter was wrong so I had to return it as it cost...

Eggs n Grits was looking for some cosmetic help with his 9-5 over the weekend. Much of the conversation had to do with the whiting-out of various bits of trim, but there was also some talk about the wheels. Eggs - don’t sweat it. Your wheel problems have been solved. Purchase a set of...

Thursday morning on the college run noticed black smokey haze behind me on the motorway. On normal roads at low revs not so bad but still belching the black stuff. No SID warnings at all. Logged on to Saabscene and s***t bricks reading threads by CaptainCrispy, Jeery Saab & Deejay 9-3. Checked...

Greetings fellow SAAB owners, This is my second post and the purpose of it is (hopefully) to add to the knowledge base of info on the TiD V6. Way back in May I was climbing the walls when my newly acquired V6 3.0 TiD started revving out of control due to the sump level rising due to diesel...

Hi All, I have today taken my 1996 9000 CS Aero with Maptun Stage III upgrade to Abbotts Racing Motorsport as the Speed Sensor failed recently resulting in no speedometer, no EDU and engine cut-out if the car is moving more than about 10 miles an hour and drive dis-engaged. I took the car...

Last weekend, I took the top of my dash to have a look at these EDU bulbs...and found that I definitely do have three broken ones! This is what mine look like: They're 1.2W 12V bulbs OSRAM bulbs. Somebody recommended ordering replacements from utlraleds.co.uk, the other day and I just...

Just a quick thanks to the Saabscene site. I have just been away for a break and as always the 9000 decided to act daft (I usually post a request around this time of year with the latest problem)! It's not that the Saab is neglected or not used the rest of the year - just that it never carries...

... DCA have rather washed their hands over this, saying merely that they don't think it's the shocks. Who should I go to to get this sorted? WMSS, perhaps? Any other suggestions? What should I be checking myself? Also, if I fit Konis ('cos I still think it might be the shocks), can someone...

Had GreenAero in for a replacement of the GPS (or at least parts of it) as well as some "adjustments" to the gearbox. I've been complaining about them since April... Anyhow, now it seems to works much better. No errors on the GPS so far, and the gearbox seems smother. The gearbox problem seems...

Yup, it was the litlle red/white valve which had developed a leak. I diagnosed it myself, went to the dealer, he refunded the bulkhead safety valve (AMAZING OR WHAT?), we put the old one in,replaced the faulty one way valve, reset the ECU, 30 min later, still no TCS light. I'm so happy...
