Just replaced front struts on my 2004 9-3 aero 2.0T. All went well until I over tightened the last bolt and it sheared off! :confused:Couple of questions, is it possible to drill out the remainder of the bolt without removing the suspension or will I need to replace the top mount. Finally will...

As in the title guys, window wiper mechanism has sheared in two at the bracket. Tried to replace with scrappy part but that snapped too as I was taking it off the donor car! Would seem these are made of cheese... My attempt at a bodge repair with a bit of shaped aluminium hasn't held up  Does...

Hello to all I've got a new problem. This evening, whilst gently reversing out of my driveway as it's done for years, when I went to move forward, absolutely nothing happened. At first I thought that it must have been either gearbox or clutch related, as there had been no noise between...

Just thought I'd cheer everyone up by demonstrating that there is always someone worse off than you I had a couple of very simple jobs to do that had to be done today - change the oil/filter and swop the winter wheels for the normal wheels. First thing I did was to take off the offside...
  7. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Hi Everyone, I am in a bit of a fix. My new (pah!) 93' 9000 CDS Griffin Auto has just thrown the auxiliary drive belt because the auto tensioner pulley has seized and come off. Is this something I can fix, by getting a new pulley from the scrapyard (elsewhere), or is there more to it and it is...

Got a slow pouncture on my tyre and wanted to get it sorted before my 800mile round trip at easter. the problem is my adapter for the locking wheel nuts has snapped and I can't get the wheel off. I've heard that Saab may have a master adapter but don't know if that's true. Anyone any advice...

I thought it was all going too well... I'd replaced all the discs and pads on Debs's 'vert on Saturday, and have almost completed the brake fluid change when the bleed nipple sheared off the last caliper . Has anyone got any tips for extraction? Would a small screw extractor work?
