Greetings: am new and tried a search of the archives of this topic, but did not find anything. Possibly, I am not searching correctly. 8. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Having had my 2001 9-5 Estate for about 3 weeks now, I wondered how long it would be before the current Mrs E would want to put her dogs in it, instead of using her car. It took until today of course. Now when I had my 9-3, there were some cargo hoops already in the car to which I could fasten...
  9. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Might not like the answer I get to first question. Have 1.9 TiD (MY 08). When I pull intro the drive I have noticed a "bleachy" smell from the exhaust, only for a short while then it disappears as the car settles. Always thought this indicated a dodgy cat converter but never had a diesel before...

I had to change the base boost of my aero, which required taking off the clip securing rod to turbo. It was a washer type clip and it sprang off into the gravel. 1 hour later still no clip. I thought there was a tiny hole in the wastegate i could slip some wire through to secure it. But I cannot...

  13. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
As far as I can see, if anyone gets into the car, they can push the button on the rear seat backrest and get into the boot. Is there Saab kit for securing this? Will the 9-3 convertible seat locks fit a 9-5? Do I have to go the DIY route? I may be required to carry some electronic stuff...
