Hi all My saab has a cold start problem - long cranking to start when the fuel tank is less than 3/4 full. After reading the forums, it sounds like this is a common problem with the injector seals leaking, allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank ? My question is this - if I fit a low...

Have my 2007 Vector Anniversary 9-3 auto for around 8 months and 15,000 miles now, and I reckon I'm getting to know the old thing. Something I've noticed is that when washed, or after heavy rain, there's a fair bit of water finds it's way past the outer door seals to sit and dribble around the...

Hi guys. The back window rubber seals on my 8 year 9-3 are peeling off, as a result of extremely hot summers and cold winters without a garage. At this point I can already see bits of metal exposed, but without leaks of any kind. Both my dealer and an independent dealer suggested me to...

Hi, Can anybody give advice/help on how easy it is to replace what I think is a leaky injector seal. I am not experiencing any loss of power or engine warning lights, however I have noticed an unburnt diesel smell entering the cabin. Also on tickover I'm getting a loud put put put put noise...
  12. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
I have noticed that the seals below the front windows and the large one on the front of the top are getting rather brittle looking. I assume this is common but they are probably long out of production. Does any one know of pattern replacements or any way of preserving the rubber? John

I have a 1995 Saab 900SE Turbo convertible, which is leaking water through the top of both front windows - only a few drops whilst sitting still, but when driving in heavy rain we'll get a steady stream of drips beading along the top edge of the window seal and dripping down. There's also a...

A hole has devloped in the 'inner' door seal on the drivers side where it has been rubbed over the years, getting in and out. Is it correct that both offside & nearside seals are the same? The thinking being that if I can got hold of good used nearside one I can use that. cheers tim

Constantly having cold start problems which I'm sure is caused by fuel draining back. Replaced the rubber return pipes and t-pieces this week, even going as far as to add fuel resistant silicone to each join to maintain the seal, but if anything its got worse! Not sure how its managed to get...

The drivers door seal is starting to fray on the back part of the seal (by the door pillar) caused by me getting in and out of the car I think. How hard is it to replace them and what sort of costs am I looking at? Or does anyone have any sneaky repair tips?
