Hi my name is Kate. Native of South FL, Graduate of Mississippi State (Go Dawgz!).:D I've joined the forum to be around fellow SAAB fanatics. I've had my Midnight Blue 2003 9-5 2.3 L Sedan Linear for 8 years and I've enjoyed tons of road trips through the Southeastern United States. I've driven...

Hi Folks Just popped by to say thanks for all the support andassistance with all things Saab over the years. Unfortunately, all good thingsmust come to an end, with the effective demise of Saab and my habit of keepingcars for 5 to 7 years a ‘new shape’ 2010/11 plate 95 didn’t seem like the...

Unfortunately, as it was being predominately used as a in town run around we have had to retire our 1999 206,000 mile 95 SE - just too much car to run round town in. So I'm now faced with the heart rending probability that I have to send a lovely car with nothing really wrong with it (other...

Feel really sad this evening, no gutted really. Due to financial circumstances, I have had to let my 9-5 Aero go. She had a few miles on the clocks, but was a minter with added Hirsh goodies of engine and suspension upgrades. So she was quite unique, especially in metallic grey. I have to say...

Hi all, I hope this proves to be wrong, but here is an editorial from Just-Auto regarding the recent bad news.... Good to see that Dave acknowledges that GM themselves have mismanaged Saab over 20 years, hence Saabs unfortunate position today. :-(

  13. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
I am afraid to say I have just killed my My2000 Saab 95 2.0l lpt. This morning while traveling to Newcastle I was driving up the A66 when I felt a misfire, I disengaged the cruise control, and the car stalled. I tried to start the engine when I was on the hard shoulder, and the engine blew the...

If you’ve been hanging around here a while you might be familiar with a commenter here named Kroum. Kroum lives in Canada and for quite a while now he’s been interested in a Turbo X. Whilst he didn’t coin the phrase Official Car of The Sith (I think that honour actually goes to Autoblog), he...
  15. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
After 7.5 years and 75,000 miles, I'm to part with my 9000CSE 2.0lpt Anniversary this coming Saturday. It has been a fantastic car and in all the time I've owned it, it has let me down just twice - both times because of dud batteries. There have been a few expensive repairs and it eats tyres...

Whilst I'm lamenting the sad state of Saab here in Tassie, it pained me to a bunch of photos from Drew in my inbox this morning. I miss having a 99 in the driveway. Of the six Saabs that I've owned, three of them have been 99s and two of those are in this photo. I owned the white 99 Turbo...

I live in what once was a thriving Saab town. That trophy now sits on my window sill. It's the 1998 Rural Customer Service Award and it was won by Kingsway Motors, a former Saab dealership here in Tasmania. The guys behind Kingsway sold the dealership shortly after winning this award...
