    OK Guys so I did it, I followed Kez guide to removing the EGR pipe and it was cack - absolutely covered in crud, took me 5 minutes to remove but no joking I spent 1 hour cleaning it, I used over cleaner with a tooth brush came up a treat!     The wife's '06 Tid 120 has recently been "losing it's turbo" and going into limp mode with the engine management light on. After some research, it would seem that it could be down to a coked-up EGR valve. So, I took it to bits yestreday, cleaned it all up (everything was moving freely anyway)...

    Hi, I own a 2005 saab 9-3 1.9 TiD (150bhp) and I am thinking of fitting one of these Egr restrictor plates with a 9mm hole to restrict the amount of gas and hence cut back on the sooty deposits and subsequent egr problems....has anyone fitted one of these before and do they work ? .... Thank You...
