  1. New Member Introductions.
I recently inherited a 2001 Saab 95 that appeared to be in Like New condition. Just over 2 weeks ago, I had the car looked over by Pep Boys. They assured me the engine was AOK and encouraged me to get 2 new tires and a realignment, which ended up being a $550 investment. Today I drove to a...
  2. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi, I am new to SAABs but have experience with BMW/Volvo/Mercedes. I recently bought a 2001 9-5 2.3 cheap with what the seller's mechanic had diagnosed as a bad alternator. The symptoms were that the system was not charging, but it would run fine off the battery until it was out of juice. I...

I've had my red Saab 9-3 Vector Sport Estate 1.9 ttid now for 3 months and have been very happy despite a couple of quirks! Whilst driving up the motorway recently, a truck in front threw up a big chunk of ice or stone which bounced off my bonnet with a bang leaving a long scratch and a chip...

Despite having rear sensors I managed to nudge a metal post (which carried a security camera). Although the post was square and therefore flat it did have a small raised detail in it which has left a line in my rear bumper. It's about 2mm wide by 0,5 - 1mm deep. I was actually surprised it...

I got a puncture this week in the shoulder of the tyre. Very slow leak. Got the tyre checked by Kwik-fit, who removed the tyre to find the damage (no bubbles) They said that the puncture was too near the side of the tread to repair. I thought this too, but they wanted £159 for a Conti Sport...

As it stands the 99 won't be going to any shows this year, so I have to clean up the 9-3. Someone has put some lovely marks on my front bumper and a few on the rear. They have all scratched off the paint and I was wondering how I could paint them? Any suggestions?
  8. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Anyone know how to repair scuffed bumpers? Front bumper has a few scratches where it's come into contact with somehting rough. Too deep for just polishing out. Thanks
  9. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
I've got an oil leak start which I'm fairly sure is coming from the oil pump seal at rear of engine. I did overfill the oil slightly a while ago and it has leaked ever since, but I'm hoping I didn't cause it and that's just coincidence. Something needs to be done soon as it is really getting...
  10. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
My charcoal leather seats have a couple of scrapes/scratches on them which I would like to get rid of. Anyone know how this could be done? I can't find a shoe leather dye which matches the Saab colour.
