Hi guys, Thinking of using Angel Tunings mobile service to remap my new Saab Vector Sport 1.9 Tid 150 as they have a deal at the moment - two cars for £400 (my work colleague wants his Octavia VRS done too). Has anyone used or heard of anyone using these on their Saab 1.9 TiD's? What was the...

Hello knowledgeable and helpful people :) I know the topic has been discussed but I can't find anything that will directly answer the question, so my apologies if I've missed something... I've had my 9-3 rag-top 1.8t for a couple of weeks now, and for the most part, I love it! I don't love the...

We've just bought my wife an '06 9-3 1.9 Tid Sport Wagon with 80k on it with FSH. We were sold it as a 150, but when we came to insure it, it turned out to be a 120. On further inspection, it is a 120 and the salesman didn't have a clue. We bought it on his word of it being a 150. At that point...

Dear All I, and I am sure others are contemplating an upgrade to my car. It would be a great help and very interesting for all to collate the results and opinions of those pathfinders who have uprated their engine performance. For those that have, please list the following Saab Model, Year...

Has anyone taken their Aero to a specialist ECU remapping company rather than stick to the conventional BSR/Maptun etc. I have heard a few people, not Saab owners, who have taken their cars to these companies who put their car on a dyno and then tweak the cars ecu program individually to get...

After having the MapTun stage 3 ecu fitted to my 9k aero I went ahead and did the air box mod and took the CAT off. Should I have sent the ecu back for re-mapping? Also I'll soon be putting on an Abbott intake pipe and hopefully a bigger intercooler. Will it be necessary then? thanks Zahid

Still looking for the right spec 9-5 but in the meantime... When I find it (budget dictates circa 1999 2.0 SE LPT) I intend to boost the power with a PPC re-map to Stage 1, around 215 bhp. Would it be foolish to leave it on stock suspension/tyres? Would it be nice and quick on the straights...

Hi everyone, About 2 years ago I had the standard ECU remap by Abbotts, the alleged +40 BHP Jobbie. Since then I have had new clutch, new head, stripped and rebuilt manual gearbox, services etc etc... You get the picture, lots of plugging and unplugging, and lot of miles. Do I need a "top...

After a long think and about cash flow, I have decided against upgrading my ecu for a Maptun one etc. I have got the idea of a re-programmed ecu. By taking an ECU from a FPT of the same engine and same year, is it possible for my engine data to be transferred to the FPT ECU, thus turning my...

Sorry if this has all been discussed before, but I'm about to buy a replacement for my 5 yr old 9-3 2.0i S, and have a few questions about chipping before I select what car to get. a) If i remap using Maptun or similar, is there any difference to reliability in doing it to an LPT or an FPT...
